The approach increases yields, simplifies purification and storage, and could transform how proteins are made for research, biotechnology and medicine.

Here we show the VNp dependent production and purification functional antibodies in just a few days using standard laboratory equipment. This approach reduces costs, speeds up research and makes antibody production more widely available around the world.

Here we use the VNp system to produce, collect and test recombinant proteins much more quickly than with conventional approaches. By enabling proteins to be exported directly from bacterial cells into the surrounding medium, the technique reduces the need for complex purification steps while producing enough functional protein for many laboratory assays. The screen accelerates research in biotechnology, drug discovery and protein engineering.
